John’s Nov. 4 concert will mark his 15th overall concert in Denver, stretching back to his first performance in 1971, promoters said. “The region has held memorable value to Elton since he has recorded three No. 1 albums there as well as iconic songs such as ‘Philadelphia Freedom’ and ‘Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds’ with John Lennon. The Ball Arena show will officially mark Elton’s final farewell in Denver,” according to a press statement.
John is known for recording at the now-defunct Caribou Ranch recording studio near Nederland in the 1970s, which also hosted greats such as Joe Walsh and Barnstorm, Chicago, Billy Joel, U2, Frank Zappa, Steely DanJohn’s current tour continues through 2023 with six shows in Australia and three shows in New Zealand throughout the month of January before the “epic 5-year tour formally concludes in Stockholm, Sweden on July 8, 2023,” promoters wrote.
