The Manchester United star believes England were the better team despite losing 2-1 at St James' Park
Ella Toone believes England were the better team in Friday night's 2-1 defeat to France and says the Lionesses can learn from the performance ahead of next week's clash in Saint-Etienne.
"It was just a lapse in concentration on two set pieces which we knew they were good at. We know they've got some big players who are really good in the air and we had to make sure we concentrated so we're really disappointed to concede two goals like that. It's not the best feeling right now but I know we can learn a lot from it.
The result means England are now five points behind France and currently sit third in Group A3 behind Sweden on goal difference, after they beat the Republic of Ireland 3-0. It is a major blow to their hopes of qualifying automatically for next summer's tournament finals, with the prospect of dropping into the play-offs now a distinct possibility.
"We've got to go again in a few days so as a team we've got to make sure we switch our mindsets, we recover really well and learn from the game."
