The commission is conducting training for electoral staff who will be assisting voters at stations
The Mozambican National Electoral Commission is urging all eligible Mozambicans , residing in and outside the country, to participate in next Wednesday’s presidential and parliamentary elections.
As part of the final preparations for the polls, the Commission is currently in Mbombela, Mpumalanga. outside Mozambique. Some of the Mozambican nationals based in Mbombela spoke about the upcoming elections.“I will not be voting as I do not see any reason why I should vote. Mozambique is full of criminal activities. We are always voting but nothing changes.”
The trained electoral staff will be at the polling stations in Mpumalanga and Limpopo after completing their training on Sunday. The Mozambican National Electoral Commission spokesperson Paulo Cuinica says, “It’s a work that is being done in the whole diaspora, being Mpumalanga and Limpopo.
