EFF leader Julius Malema says the party could overtake the DA and become the official opposition party in South Africa.
Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema says the worst thing that could happen for the EFF in the upcoming national and provincial elections, is if it shows no signs of growth.
He said that even if the party does not win the elections if it increases its votes and overtakes the Democratic Alliance , the EFF could become the official opposition party in South Africa.The EFF was founded in July 2013 following the expulsion of Malema and his deputy Floyd Shivambu from the ANC in 2012. Since then, it has grown to become South Africa’s third-largest political party in just ten years.
