A 68-year-old woman was attacked by an elderly man in a lift at the City Hall MRT station in Singapore on New Year's Eve. The victim suffered head and neck pain, blurred vision, and her Parkinson's disease symptoms were aggravated.

A 68-year-old woman was allegedly punched by a man in his 80s at the City Hall MRT station in Singapore on New Year's Eve. The victim, Saniya, was heading home from work at the Supreme Court when the incident occurred. According to Saniya, the man was standing next to her in the lift when his bag touched her leg. He then suddenly punched her on the right side of her head. After the lift reached the platform, the man exited first while Saniya managed to take a photo of him.

She then reported the incident to station staff who assisted her in calling the police. Saniya sustained head and neck pain, blurry vision, and her Parkinson's disease symptoms were worsened. Her son, 38, rushed to her aid after receiving a call from his mother. Both he and his wife brought her to the hospital. Police have arrested an 88-year-old man and are investigating the case for voluntarily causing hurt
