Elderly men attacked after intruder 'smashed' their way into Fylde home
A man has been arrested after a 'distressing' break-in at a house in Ansdell where two elderly men were attacked.
Officers found that someone had smashed their way into the property, before the two men had gone to investigate the noise. Both of them were then assaulted. The man in his 80s was taken to hospital with suspected fractured bones. The second man, and the woman, suffered cuts due to the broken glass in the property.Police searched the area surrounding the street and a short while later a man was arrested on suspicion of burglary.
