CLEVELAND, Ohio — Ekaterina Alexandrova and Sara Sorribes Tormo will meet Saturday for the singles title in the Tennis in the Land tournament.
Alexandrova, the fourth and highest seed to reach Friday’s semifinals, defeated Lin Zhu, 7-5, 6-2. Sorribes Tormo reached the finals with a 6-4, 6-3 win against Tatjana Maria.The doubles final will follow, featuring Miyu Kato and Aldila Sutjiadi vs. second-seeded Nicole Melichar-Martinez and Ellen Perez.
In Friday’s semifinals, Kato/Sutjiadi defeated Gabriela Dabrowski and Erin Routliffe, 7-5, 6-7, 10-7. Melichar-Martinez-Perez reached the final with a 6-2, 6-7, 10-8 win over Hao-Ching Chan and Giuliana Olmos.
