Eight people were arrested after the OPP-led provincial joint forces guns and gangs enforcement team identified an alleged drug trafficking operation that stemmed from Toronto to Thunder Bay.
Provincial police on Tuesday announced the arrests, which came after search warrants were executed at residences, storage lockers and vehicles in Thunder Bay, Toronto, Oshawa and Bowmanville on March 2. Police said the operation led to the seizure of about six kilograms of cocaine, along with a quantity of fentanyl. The estimated street value of the drugs is $650,000, police added. Police also seized two vehicles and about $100,000 in cash.
Two Thunder Bay men — 35-year-old Travis Myslicki and 53-year-old Jamie Cressman — are charged with conspiracy to commit an indictable offence. Myslicki is charged with five counts each of trafficking cocaine and drug possession for the purpose of trafficking, while Cressman faces a single count on each charge. The accused are expected to appear in a Toronto court next month.
