The date Eid al-Fitr will take place in Glasgow has been announced this evening as Glaswegians prepare to mark the end of Ramadan.
Today was the 29th day of fasting where officials and members of the public search for the sighting of the moon to determine when Eid will be.Eid al-Fitr is a time for families to get together in prayer as well as exchange gifts and eat plenty of mouth-watering foods following a month of going without food or drink - including water.
Each mosque around the city will have different prayer times so check your local mosque to find out what time Eid prayers will be.
