The EFF alleges that Minister Macpherson is colluding with the DA to abuse state institutions.

The Economic Freedom Fighters says it will open a criminal case today against Public Works and Infrastructure Minister,The EFF alleges that Macpherson is colluding with the Democratic Alliance to abuse state institutions.

Party spokesperson Sinawo Thambo says, “We’re not surprised that the DA would find a case opened against it as frivolous because it’s a combination of their own arrogance and their own belief that they are beyond being held accountable.” “The EFF will indeed be opening a case against Minister Dean Macpherson with regards to his interference in the tender processing and payment processing at the IDT . He pressurised a junior staff member to expedite a payment, completely blurring the lines between the state and state institutions.”

Thambo adds, “Also pressurising the staff member to flout National Treasury regulations, because there was an intention to variate from the intended payment by 20% and that can’t be done by the IDT without an approval from National Treasury.”
