The EFF have accused Ramaphosa of riding a wave of Springbok victory and failed to give the country a proper public holiday

“A majority of labour intensive industries are already closed, schools are closed and many South Africans are home with their families”, says Thambo.The special public holiday has been created to celebrate the Springboks, who triumphed over New Zealand with a narrow 11-12 victory and retain their title of Rugby World Cup champions.The general public had assumed that Monday, 30 October would be declared a public holiday, however Ramaphosa says matric examinations have to be considered.
