EDITORIAL: Teach our children well — and wisely

In recent months, we’ve seen policies introduced over the objections of large numbers of parents.A few examples of controversial policies that have gone unchallenged: Canada became an international laughing stock when an Ontario teacher persisted in showing up to work with inappropriately displayed ballon-sized breasts.

Bilkszto, who had lived in the U.S., challenged that statement. He called it an “incredible disservice,” to teach such an idea. In a session the following week, Ojo-Thompson used his statement as a “real life example of resistance in support of white supremacy,” according to a statement of claim in a lawsuit Bilkszto brought. The claims have not been tested in court. To imply that he was a white supremacist is defamatory and toxic language to use at a workplace seminar.
