The new board at the basket case SOE suggests the government has learnt absolutely nothing from Zondo’s state capture commission.
In Raymond Zondo’s final state capture report, released last year, he spoke repeatedly of how the appointment of members of boards of state-owned entities “is a matter of serious concern”.
Zondo, now chief justice, said that one of the contributing factors to the era of corruption, mismanagement and state capture was that the political executive has “very often failed to appoint the right kind of people [to] these positions in SOEs”...If you have already registered or subscribed, please sign in to continue.
