Head coach Sean Everitt is relishing the opportunity of returning to the Republic with Edinburgh to help mastermind back-to-back wins against the DHL Stormers and Sharks.
The Scottish outfit face the Stormers at Cape Town Stadium next Saturday when the Vodacom URC resumes in round 12, before heading to Durban to tackle John Plumtree’s charges.
Speaking in a segment for the club’s Youtube channel, former Sharks boss Everitt acknowledged the challenges that await the team against his countrymen but remains optimistic. “We’re sitting fourth now and we probably would’ve taken that at the beginning of the season, but there’s an important run of fixtures left in the URC and we all know it’s not how you start but how you finish…“It’ll be great to go back to SA and see some of the regular faces that I’m used to… but at the same time it’s a challenge for Edinburgh to go and win down there.”
