EC drought: DA official asks UN to assist in province’s water crisis

Retief Odendaal, the DA spokesperson on rural development, agrarian reform and finance, has written to Gilbert Houngbo, chairperson of UN Water, asking the organisation to avail its expertise to South Africa, specifically the Eastern Cape government, to help with the “unfolding water crisis” as a result of the ongoing drought.
