The Eastern Cape Province is taking steps to become a cannabis industry hub. 26 local farmers will receive hemp seeds and join a cultivation project spanning 10,000 hectares over five years. R100 million has already been invested in a state-of-the-art indoor cannabis facility at Coega Special Economic Zone. The initiative aims to empower local farmers and boost the provincial economy.
