Eastern Cape Premier Oscar Mabuyane not barred from studying at Fort Hare, says university

Two years after Eastern Cape Premier Oscar Mabuyane was removed from a master's class and deregistered as a student at the University of Fort Hare, the university says there is nothing preventing him from applying for any course as he is not barred from studying at the institution.

This as Mabuyane, who is also the ANC chairperson in the Eastern Cape, is set to address an SA Student Congress rally at the Alice campus on Tuesday evening. Mabuyane, who was the SRC president of Fort Hare as well as Sasco campus chairperson in 2000, said he was looking forward to addressing the rally but declined to take further questions.
