EastEnders' Sonia Fowler has been charged with the murder of Debbie Colwell, but her ex-husband Martin could be partly to blame
EastEnders' character Sonia Fowler, portrayed by Natalie Cassidy, has been implicated in a murder plot that unfolded during the Wednesday episode set for August 21. Found available on iPlayer, the drama escalated with pregnant Sonia and her partner Reiss Colwell facing police questioning over the murder of Debbie Colwell which happened last month.
During intense police interrogation, one line of questioning highlighted: "You never felt like she was in the way? " followed by the reveal of "We have a witness statement, you were heard saying 'things would be much easier if she was dead'." Full of regret after her conversation with Martin, Sonia's visit to see Debbie leads to her DNA being discovered at the crime scene, reports the Daily Star.
It seems that Martin has informed the police about Sonia's remark towards Debbie, landing her in significant trouble.
