SAN DIEGO – Retired Marine & East Village resident, Giorgio Kirylo, has been the leading voice in the effort to warn people of the dangers the criminal homeless population is bringing to San Diego every single day.
Mayor Todd Gloria, his staff, and elected Democrats insist the cause of the out-of-control homeless population is high cost of rent, but that perspective is not agreed upon by residents of San Diego, as it doesn’t pass the eye test. A short walk through downtown and people understand that it is not a housing issue.
Since Kirylo began publishing videos of the criminal acts being committed on the streets of downtown, he and the East Village Doers have been receiving messages of support from people they would have never expected to reach out and applaud them. Furthermore, the members of the group emphasize that this is not a political issue, it is a safety issue.
