A normal East Midlands Railway service is expected tomorrow
East Midlands Railway Service has cancelled all trains and advised commuters not to travel. The train operator has said it will not run any of its services today, Wednesday, May 31, due to strike action by workers.
The operator, which connects Nottingham with other major cities including London, Manchester, Liverpool and Sheffield, as well as towns across Nottinghamshire, has told rail users that services will resume tomorrow, but commuters can expect short-notice changes and cancellations. In a tweet, East Midlands Railway Service said: "Due to ASLEF strike action today, there will be no EMR services. Please do not attempt to travel."A normal service is expected tomorrow, however, trains are subject to short-notice alterations and cancellations." No rail replacement buses will run due to the strike action.
