Reports alleged that Ruth Langsford doesn't want 'to upset' husband Eamonn Holmes after she was reportedly 'approached' by a This Morning producer about returning to the show

Since Phillip Schofield left This Morning back in May, there has been much speculation regarding what would happen to the show’s presenting line-up.

And now, one report claims that Loose Women panellist Ruth Langsford has been “approached by a This Morning producer” about making a potential return to the show, though she feels “torn” about the decision. The source alleged to Bella magazine that Ruth “wouldn’t want to upset” her husband Eamonn Holmes. In November 2021, it was announced that Ruth and Eamonn, both 63, would be leaving the This Morning sofa after 15 years on the show.

Eamonn also alleged that “those in authority” knew about the relationship. However, ITV says that they investigated “rumours of a relationship” in 2020 but that both parties “repeatedly denied” the claims and that the broadcaster wasn’t able to find “any evidence of a relationship beyond hearsay and rumour.”

Meanwhile, This Morning editor Martin Frizell accused unnamed outspoken stars who condemned Phillip of “settling scores” amid an allegedly “toxic” work environment.
