The GB News star underwent surgery last week after 'suffering for the past 18 months'
Eamonn Holmes has given he first update since undergoing 'risky' surgery last week and couldn't help but mock 'rumours'. The GB News star revealed last week that he was undergoing surgery in the hopes of it relieving his chronic pain.
But last Wednesday , the 62-year-old underwent more serious action to battle his suffering. The day before his planned operation, Eamonn explained what the operation will entail. The veteran broadcaster said: "This week a surgeon will cut into my back to hopefully relieve pressure on my sciatic nerves.
"This time last week I was laying on a slab in a hospital being operated on,” The former This Morning host said from the home he shares with wife Ruth Langsford in Surrey. "I’m one week on, it is early days. It will probably be about three weeks before they know whether it has been a success or not."
"It was humiliating for me." Eamonn said to Isabel. "You took me through that crowd. And I stumbled a few times, and my leg gave way a few times. And after that I was a bit humiliated, really. You didn’t make any issue of it, but it was an issue for me." He went on to say: "Prior to then I’ve been living with this injury for 18 months.
