Eagles reward Jason Kelce one day after he announced he is returning to team

The 35-year-old announced Monday that he will play next season.

Sure, Eagles fans have not been loving the defensive defections early in the free agency period, but Jason Kelce still gave them reason to smile on Monday.

That’s because the 35-year-old veteran center — considered by many the heart of the team — took to Twitter to announce that he was coming back for a 13th season.“After talking it over with my wife and many other friends and family, I have decided to return for another year. Thank you to all my supports and detractors for fueling me. I ain’t done yet!”

And the Eagles helped Kelce make that official Tuesday. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter the team and Kelce agreed to a one-year, $14.25 deal.
