His decision comes on a day when it was reported that one of the team’s top defenders, linebacker T.J. Edwards, is headed to the Chicago Bears in free agency. The Eagles are expected to lose several key defenders from last year’s team which made a run to Super Bowl LVII. But Kelce is a heart of the team type player and his return figures to be great news for quarterback Jalen Hurts and the offense which should be explosive once again.
Kelce played collegiately at Cincinnati. He was the Eagles’ sixth-round pick, 191st-overall, in the 2011 draft and has spent his entire career with the team.
