Al Ettifaq's 'stylistic choice' to grey out Jordan Henderson's rainbow armbands hasn't gone unnoticed
Eagle-eyed fans noticed Jordan Henderson's rainbow armbands have been edited in his Al Ettifaq announcement video.
It comes after Steven Gerrard made the signing of the England international a priority after becoming the Saudi side's manager.The 33-year-old has been a vocal ally for the minority groups in the past but many have been left scorned after moving to a country where homosexuality is illegal and punishable by death.
In what appears on the surface to be a stylistic choice to highlight his role as captain, every photograph of Henderson in a Liverpool kit featured his left upper arm and skipper's band made black and white in contrast to his all-red kit.
