- ROME, OCT 10 - E-scooter accident deaths in Italy were up 77.8% in 2022, according to a report from the Italian Automobile Club and national statistics institute Istat Tuesday. Victims among cyclists decreased .
During 2022, 485 pedestrians died , 205 cyclists , of which 20 on electric bikes and 16 scooter riders . Of the 16 deaths on scooters, 4 are concentrated in the province of Milan, 3 in the province of Rome and 2 in the province of Turin. The highest number of pedestrian deaths was in the province of Rome , followed by Milan , Naples and Turin .
