Canadian-based electric vehicle company ElectraMeccanica announced it will move its corporate headquarters to Mesa on Monday.in 2021 announced
Mesa Mayor John Giles and Governor Doug Ducey joined ElectraMeccanica CEO Susan Docherty at a grand opening of the manufacturing plant. ElectraMeccanica is the fifth electric vehicle manufacturing facility to open in Arizona since 2016, according to the news release. Other electric car manufactures in the state include luxury car maker Lucid Motors and heavy truck maker Nikola Corp.The company will produce its three-wheeled, one-seater, all-electric vehicle called the SOLO at the plant.
