The DWP has carried out hundreds of 'light touch' reviews that could affect PIP entitlements

According to a recent Freedom of Information request, since August 2023, the Department for Work and Pensions has conducted over 500 'light touch' reviews for Personal Independence Payment without the need for an assessment by a health professional.

For those interested, the DWP has made a sample copy of the 'PIP AR2' form available on the GOV. UK website within the PIP Toolkit, intended for reference purposes only. The six-page PIP review form is designed to cover various aspects of an individual's condition and how it affects them. It includes sections about the claimant, their main healthcare professional, and detailed questions about any changes in their health condition or disability.
