The DWP announced that vulnerable families will receive additional support from their local authorities
Vulnerable families across England will receive additional support from their local councils thanks to a £842m extension to the Household Support Fund.
The scheme was initially launched in October 2021 as part of the Prime Minister's pledge to help poor families cover their essential living expenses. The distribution of the funding is targeted at the areas of the country with the most vulnerable households.
How to get money from the Household Support Fund In order to begin receiving money from the scheme, applicants must first contact their local authority which you can find using the government website. Once you find out who your local authority is, you can contact them and tell them you're interested in the Household Support Fund and believe you may be eligible.
