Help with rising costs is always welcome. As energy and food bills remain high, government assistance for some is on the cards with millions of pensioners across the UK set to receive an extra £600 this winter from the Department for Work and Pensions .
For the winter of 2023/2024, Winter Fuel Payments will be available again, reported the Mirror. So that means pensioner cost of living payments will, once again, be paid. As spring has only just sprung, the payments are still a long way off but here's what we know so far. Who gets the Winter Fuel Payment You can get a Winter Fuel Payment for winter 2023 to 2024 if you were born before September 24, 1957. You also need to have lived in the UK for at least one day in the qualifying week. The qualifying week is normally the week beginning from the third Monday in September.
