Aydin Coban, the 44-year-old Dutch man convicted of sexually extorting B.C. teen Amanda Todd, was sentenced to 13 years in prison. A prosecutor in Amsterdam says that should be reduced to four and a half years.

The parents of Todd, who died by suicide a decade ago, say they finally have justice for their daughter.
Coban was already serving an 11-year sentence in the Netherlands for similar crimes targeting 33 other victims when he was extradited to Canada to face trial in the Todd case. Coban was not in court for a hearing Thursday at Amsterdam District Court to convert the Canadian sentence.
