Duncan to be dethroned as title-holder for 'world's largest hockey stick'

in a small city near Chicago, Illinois to erect a massive hockey stick that would overshadow the current record-holder at Cowichan Community Centre in Duncan — by quite a bit. The proposed hockey stick at the newly approved Summit Ice Center in Lockport is 250 feet long, compared to the Duncan stick which is just 218 feet.
Lockport City Council signed off on the proposal last week for a new ice rink with two sheets of ice inside — and one massive hockey stick outside.
