The driver of a dump truck that rolled on the Nanaimo Parkway Friday afternoon had to be extricated through the front windshield using mechanical jaws, but suffered only minor injuries.
The incident happened about 12:20 p.m. at the East Wellington overpass, said Nanaimo Fire Rescue Assistant Chief Stuart Kenning.Crews were still cleaning up the scene about 2:15 p.m. and hoped to have the road open to regular traffic flow within a few hours, he said.
