The Celtics lost their top two running backs to injuries in a 27-24 win at Hilliard Bradley on Sept. 16.
Senior Luke McLoughlin suffered a high right ankle sprain in the first quarter and could be out three to four weeks, according to coach Brett Glass. McLoughlin has rushed for a team-high 630 yards and six touchdowns on 101 carries. Junior Cael Abdul Haqq suffered a broken leg with 1 minute, 49 seconds remaining in the game and will be out for the remainder of the season, according to Glass. Haqq is second in rushing with 305 yards and three touchdowns on 48 carries.
The Celtics are 5-0 as they prepare to open OCC-Cardinal Division play Sept. 23 against visiting Thomas Worthington.
