Springbok No 8 Duane Vermeulen is reportedly set to rejoin the Vodacom Bulls with a view to playing in the Currie Cup and preparing for the Rugby World Cup.
“It makes sense to give Duane an interim place here. His experience and knowledge will be invaluable. Whether this is only in the short term is uncertain. It all depends on Duane’s future decision after the World Cup,” an insider is quoted byIt is believed that the Bulls may also use Vermeulenas a player consultant, adding an extra layer of significance to a reunion with the Bulls.
Vermeulen played for the Bulls between 2019 and 2021, where he helped them win back-to-back Currie Cup titles.
