Eric Tinkler's decision to start Martin and Mayo paid off after just two minutes, as the former slotted home from close range after Nsabata could only the latter's shot. The visitors' equaliser did not knock the wind of City's sail, as the host went on to grab the second goal three minutes before the break through Mayo's curled finish.
