Usuthu, meanwhile, experienced a difficult season too which saw them part ways with coach Benni McCarthy and appoint Brandon Truter who aided them to a seventh spot finish. The Rockets were victorious in their previous encounter at the end of last season as they edged Chippa United 1-0 in Gqeberha. AmaZulu didn’t have the same joy as that of the Rockets after their final clash last season ended in a 2-1 loss to provincial rivals Golden Arrows.
Usuthu were victorious in this encounter with Sead Ramovic’s men last season with the winner coming from Luvuyo Memela, who has since joined the newly-promoted Richards Bay FC.
