Cape Town City climbed to fifth spot on the DStv Premiership standings after a last-gasp victory over Marumo Gallants on Saturday evening.
It was an even start to the clash as the two outfits struggled to open up each other with balls in and around the area, leading to rushed box entries and hurried final passes. Both sides had openings after the restart courtesy of a flying shot on the edge of the area by Celimpilo Ngema, while City's Khanyisa Mayo headed over the crossbar from Craig Martin’s ball.
Within the last 20 minutes, City missed a big chance when Martin controlled a ball over the top before cutting back for May, who sent his effort over the crossbar.
