'I didn't do anything wrong. I was on my way home and I fell over. The police were called by someone that hates me.'
A woman who 'lashed out' at members of the public while lying on the floor drunk has been slapped with a fine. Eleanor Davies claims she was walking home, fell over and 'didn't do anything' wrong which led to her being arrested for being drunk and disorderly just after midnight on February 17 this year.
The security guard stayed with her until police arrived. They found her slurring her words and smelling of alcohol.Ms Musa, prosecuting, added that Davies was unable to have a conversation with the police due to her intoxicated state and when she got up off the floor 'lashed out' at the officers and others before trying to walk away. Davies was subsequently arrested.
