The alarm was raised at around 6pm of Tuesday, January 10 when officers were called to a collision on the A702, which runs from Edinburgh to St John's Town of Dalry in Dumfries and Galloway.
It is not yet known how many people were involved in the dramatic event, or if anyone was hurt or required hospital treatment as a result. In another image, a Land Rover has more or less tipped on to its side and is perched on the side of a kerb after appearing to have ploughed into a pole. A wheel is also missing from the front of the vehicle.
