The extra move could save drivers hundreds on petrol

Fuel prices have been a major concern for Scottish drivers and the rest of the UK, as prices continue to soar amidst the cost of living crisis.

The professionals at Hippo Leasing say drivers can slash their fuel costs by using apps to find the best prices. As reported by The Mirror, this piece of advice could result in fuel savings of up to £406.24 annually. This saving, which was in Belfast, saw people drive some 3.6 miles from the city centre for cheaper fuel, while drivers in Newcastle could save as much as £14 on a tank. In third place was Coventry, where drivers could pull in savings of £13.94.

The pros also advise to not wait until the fuel light comes on before re-filling, as this will cost you.
