The crash happened on Fog Lane in Didsbury last night
Drivers escaped unhurt following a crash on a suburban road which left one car in a hedge. The collision happened on Fog Lane in Didsbury on Sunday night.
Police and firefighters were called to the scene but the occupants of a Volkswagen Golf and a Peugeot 207 were already out of the vehicles by the time they arrived. Pictures from the scene showed the badly damaged Golf across the carriageway while the Peugeot was on the pavement and in a hedge. Nobody was arrested and no-one was hurt in the collision, a spokesman for Greater Manchester Police confirmed today . That stretch of Fog Lane in suburban Didsbury has a 20mph limit, one of many introduced across Manchester ten years ago to improve road safety and health.The emergency services were called to the scene at about 10.45pm on Sunday. One passer-by told the Manchester Evening News all occupants of both cars appeared to be out of the vehicles and unharmed.
“Our crew arrived quickly and worked alongside colleagues from Greater Manchester Police to make the area safe before departing after approximately 25 minutes at the scene.”
