Emergency services rushed to the motorway, near Leyland, after a car flipped and burst into flames

Motorists stuck in long delays on the M6 last night have blasted queue-jumpers who used the hard shoulder to try and get home quicker.

Paul Greaves posted a lengthy message to these drivers, he said: "If you were on the m6 in the line of traffic after that car flipped over and caught fire and was one of 18 drivers who used the hard shoulder to give yourself a chance of getting home quicker then your a c**t and I have you all on dash cam ready to give police tomorrow.

Paul Young said: "Since COVID lockdown ended no one gives a f... About anyone else just themselves I see it every day in my line of work as a recovery truck driver." Sue Griffiths added: "I was on a coach travelling north. We were held up for around an hour and saw many cars using the hard shoulder to beat the queues. Absolutely disgraceful! Why is your journey more important than anyone else's? Totally selfish behaviour in my opinion."
