Louis Dube died last month following a collision in Gorton
The man who killed a ‘role model’ in a road traffic collision will be a ‘properly interested person’ at his inquest, a coroner has said.
The Vauxhall Crossland was being driven by Ryan McIlroy, who admitted causing death by dangerous driving at court earlier this month. The 35-year-old, of Apeel Lane in Chadderton, Oldham, will be sentenced at Manchester Crown Court on February 9. Following the opening of the inquest on January 10, assistant coroner for Manchester Fiona Borrill has named Louis' mother, Nompi, as an interested person for the full hearing. The other interested person is McIlroy.
“GMP’s serious collision unit are dealing with the investigation. On December 9, Nompi Dube, mother of the deceased, formally identified her son to attending GMP officers.
