VIDEO: Man walking along Aurora Avenue hit, killed by car in ShorelineSHORELINE, Wash. — A pedestrian is dead after he was hit by a car in an early-morning crash in Shoreline.A KIRO 7 News crew at the scene saw a body in the road and a car with a damaged windshield.King County deputies arrived to find the driver of the car, a man in his 40s, performing CPR on the victim, a man in his 30s, King County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. M. Corbett Ford said.
Deputies took over efforts to save the man until medics arrived, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The King County Sheriff’s Office Major Accident Response and Reconstruction Unit conducted the investigation. The driver cooperated with investigators and Ford said it does not appear that he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. No charges against the driver are pending.The scene was cleared and the streets reopened at about 6 a.m.
