Driver arrested after 'cloned' car crashes
A driver who allegedly failed to stop for a road police traffic patrol in Greater Manchester was arrested after the car crashed into a pole and a foot chase by a police officer. Greater Manchester Police said the car, a cloned Toyota Yaris, failed to stop for the patrol in Denton.
It travelled along Stanley Road in Denton before crashing into a pole at the junction of Stockport Road. Police say the driver then fled on foot but was apprehended by a task force officer after a chase. The driver was arrested and taken to the police station, where he was charged and remanded. GMP Traffic said on Twitter: "This cloned Toyota Yaris would fail to stop for #RPTF patrol in Denton. It travelled along Stabley Grove and crashed at the junction of Stockport Road.
