New additions are the XLT 4x2, XLT 4x4, Sport 4x2, and Wildtrak 3.0-litre V6.Ford officially launched their next generation Everest locally towards the end of last year, with the Sport 4x4 and Platinum 3.0-litre V6 AWD heading the range. Now they've made the circle bigger by adding four new derivatives. The new family members are the XLT 4x2, XLT 4x4, Sport 4x2 and Wildtrak 3.0-litre V6 – increasing the range from two to six.
The cabin is a significant upgrade over the previous generation, with a greater sense of modernity and convenience – nothing is out of reach from a driver's perspective.Minesh Bhagaloo, director of communications at Ford South Africa, said the brand saw an opportunity in the market and took it."We identified a so-called 'grey area' between Toyota's Prado and Fortuner models, and our objective with the four new Everest models was to give the customer variety.
The new Sport model is distinguishable with a styling pack that includes black-coated items like the 20-inch alloy wheels , radiator grille, side mirrors and door handles. Where convenience is concerned, you get smart keyless entry, electronic parking brake, wireless charging, 12-inch colour touchscreen , USB- Type A and C ports , 12v sockets for the front and third-row seats and in the load compartment as well as a 400W Inverter .
