SINGAPORE — The second half of February is expected to be drier than the first half of the month, with maximum temperatures expected to reach 34°C on days with little or no rain.

The Meteorological Service Singapore said in a weather update on Thursday that localised short-duration thundery showers can still be expected in the afternoon over parts of the island on some days due to a convergence of prevailing winds with the sea breeze.conditions are forecast to continue into the second fortnight of the month.

Low-level winds over the island and the surrounding region are forecast to blow mostly from the northeast or northwest. In its review of the first half of February, MSS said that thundery showers fell over parts of the island in the afternoon and evening on most days.
