Drama as 'four Royal guards faint' during rehearsal for King's Trooping the Colour
A member of the Grenadier Guards has been carried away after fainting during the Colonel's Review at Horse Guards Parade in London on June 10 ahead of The King's Birthday Parade. At least three others are thought to have fainted too.
Similarly to the King's Coronation celebrations last month, almost 1500 parading soldiers will get together along with 200 horses and 400 musicians in a wonderful display of military precision, horsemanship and fanfare to mark The King’s official birthday. At least four troops appeared to faint in the hot weather during the Colonel’s Review at Horse Guards Parade, with William acknowledging the “difficult conditions”.
The annual event has marked the official birthday of the British Sovereign for over 260 years, and it is much-loved event in the British calendar, with royals gathering on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to watch the Trooping the Colour RAF flypast each year. The parade moves from Buckingham Palace and down The Mall to Horse Guard's Parade, alongside Members of the Royal Family on horseback and in carriages.
