Peppa also credited the show with helping her explore her queer identity, stating:"It definitely helped me with a lot of self-discovery. I’ve always been someone in my queer journey who’s been a bit shy.
"Just being on the show, and seeing everyone be unapologetically themselves, that really helped me to not keep my personality to myself, and rather to just share it in a bigger way. When I just came to this country, I was always a bit insecure about the way I spoke with my accent. Do I communicate properly? How do I come across?
"Being raised in a strict household with a Christian family, I was always taught to think about every single thing I say before I communicate. But I think that being on the show has helped me to not care too much, and to just be myself. "It’s OK to mess up. It’s OK to have bad days. It’s OK to excel and be human. Even though I love to be an alien goddess at the same time, it’s OK to mess up and let people see that more vulnerable side of yourself.
"Being on the show, I sometimes I forgot the cameras were there. I was just having real moments all the time."
